JAMAL A. HAKIM, M.D.
Dr. Hakim left his home state of Indiana to move to North Carolina where he
attended Duke University. There, he received his B.S. in Chemistry,
graduating Magna cum laude. Returning to Indiana, he received his medical
degree from Indiana University. Dr. Hakim then headed south again for an
Internship at J. Hillis Medical Center of the University of Florida in
Jacksonville, Florida. Finally, he successfully completed his Anesthesia
Residency at the University Of Florida College Of Medicine in Gainesville,
Florida. He is Board certified in Anesthesiology.
He has been on staff at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women for over
fourteen years where he currently serves as Chairman of the Department of
Anesthesia, Director of Anesthesia for Women’s Services and also serves on
the Leadership Committee. He also is on staff at Lucerne Medical Center,
South Seminole Hospital, Orlando Surgery Center and Florida Surgery Center.
During his free time, Dr. Hakim enjoys spending time with his family and
fishing.
