STEPHEN W. THOMPSON, M.D.
Dr. Thompson received both his undergraduate degree (B.S. in Zoology;
Phi Beta Kappa) and his medical degree (M.D.; Alpha Omega Alpha) at
the University of Florida, and then completed his internship and
residency in Anesthesiology at the University Of Virginia College Of
Medicine. He is Board certified in Anesthesiology with Added
Qualifications in Pain Management.
An Orlando native, Dr. Thompson has practiced Anesthesiology and Pain
Medicine in the Greater Orlando area since 1986. He is on staff at
Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Women, Lucerne Medical Center,
South Seminole Hospital, Orlando Surgery Center and Florida Surgery
Center. He is currently serving as the Director of Anesthesia Services
at Orlando Surgery Center. Dr. Thompson’s practice emphasizes
anesthesia for outpatient surgery, high risk Obstetrics and
Interventional Pain Management.
